    Objectives

    VHS will promote, advance and further the following charitable purposes:- The prevention or relief of :- (a) such persons who have previously served in the UK Armed Forces and who while serving or after completion of service have been or become disabled (veterans). and (b) dependents of veterans as the charity trustees may determine from time to time, in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage by:- (i) the provision, construction, improvement and management of affordable rented homes. (ii) the provision of wellbeing support. and (iii) such other means as the charity trustees may from time to time determine 4.2 For the purpose of clause 4.1, 'dependents' means any person:- (i) to whom a veteran is married. (ii) who is the civil partner of the veteran. or (iii) with whom the veteran is living as husband and wife or, where the veteran and other person are of the same sex, in an equivalent relationship.
