Objectives

1. To promote a comprehensive and co-ordinated community service designed to meet the special needs of those with alcohol problems and those affected by drinking problems. 2. To promote education in all aspects of alcohol, alcohol dependency and alcohol related problems. 3. To co-operate in appropriate research into alcohol dependency and alcohol related problems. 4. To act as liaison between, and support of, those working in the fields of alcohol dependency and alcohol related problems. 5. To promote and organise co-operation in the achievement of the above purposes, and to that end to bring together in the Council representatives of voluntary agencies and statutory authorities engaged in the furtherance of the above purposes or any of them.
