    Objectives

    Subject to the said over-riding qualification the objects for which the Company is established are:- (1) To establish, maintain and conduct a Club for the development and study of musical and dramatic art in Scotland. (2) To provide for the production, representation and performance of operas, stage plays, operettas, burlesques, vaudeville, revues, ballets, pantomimes, spectacular pieces, promenade and other concerts and other musical and dramatic performances and entertainments and to provide facilities for the teaching and study of elocution, dancing and acting in all its branches and of music and singing in all its branches and for other purposes. (3) To take over and acquire the whole property, assets and liabilities of the Pantheon Club (Glasgow) Limited and to continue the administration of the funds, property and assets presently held by the said Pantheon Club (Glasgow) Limited and to appoint Trustees. (4) To enter into agreements with authors or other persons for the dramatic or other rights of operas, plays, operettas, burlesques, vaudevilles, revues, ballets, pantomimes, spectacular pieces, musical compositions, and other dramatic and musical performances and entertainments, or for the representation thereof in Scotland and elsewhere, as well as of foreign and colonial rights, and to enter into engagements of all kinds/kinds with artists, producers and other persons. (5) To carry out the objects of the Company as principals, agents, trustees or otherwise, and either alone or in conjunction with others. and in particular and without prejudice to this generality and in aid of and for the purposes of the Company.
