BEXHILL OLD TOWN PRESERVATION SOCIETY

The Society is established as an independent, non-party, non-sectarian body for the public benefit in the area comprising Bexhill-on-Sea, especially the Old Town. Objectives

(I) TO PRESERVE THE ANTIQUITY AND CHARACTER OF THE AREA OF BENEFIT AS A THRIVING COMMUNITY. (II) TO EDUCATE THE CITIZENS AND FRIENDS OF BEXHILL IN AN APPRECIATION OF THE HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY, NATURAL HISTORY AND ARCHITECTURE OF THE AREA. (III) TO SECURE THE PRESERVATION, PROTECTION, DEVELOPMENT AD IMPROVEMENT OF FEATURES OF HISTORIC OR PUBLIC INTEREST IN THE AREA OF BENEFIT. (IV) TO PROMOTE A HIGH STANDARD OF PLANNING AND ARCHITECTURE IN OR AFFECTING THE AREA OF BENEFIT AND TO OPPOSE ANY INAPPROPRIATE DEVELOPMENTS.
