THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE:1) TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF INDIVIDUALS DIAGNOSED WITH MYODESOPSIA (ALSO KNOWN AS EYE FLOATERS OR SYMPTOMATIC VITREOUS FLOATERS) IN PARTICULAR BY:A) PROMOTING, SUPPORTING, SPONSORING, AND COMMISSIONING RESEARCH INTO THE DIAGNOSIS, UNDERSTANDING AND TREATMENT OF THE CONDITION.B) FACILITATING COLLABORATION BETWEEN PATIENTS, CLINICIANS, AND RESEARCHERS IN ORDER TO IMPROVE UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONDITION AND THE PATIENT EXPERIENCE.C) PROVIDING UP TO DATE AND RELEVANT INFORMATION TO INDIVIDUALS DIAGNOSED WITH THE CONDITION AND TO MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS AS A MEANS OF IMPROVING UNDERSTANDING AND RAISING AWARENESS OF MYODESOPSIA.2) TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE DIAGNOSED WITH MYODESOPSIA, AND BY EXTENSION THEIR FAMILIES AND CARERS, BY PROVIDING ASSISTANCE IN THE FORM OF SUPPORT NETWORKS FOR THE PATIENT COMMUNITY.
