THE OBJECTS OF THE CLUB ARE TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC THROUGH THE PROVISION OF EDUCATION AND TRAINING IN LIFESAVING, LIFESUPPORT, WATER SAFETY, RESUSCITATION AND FIRST AID, THROUGH THE PARTICIPATION IN THE AWARD SCHEMES AND COMPETITIONS OF THE SURFLIFESAVING CLUB OF GREAT BRITAIN (HEREIN AFTER REFERRED TO AS SLSGB) AND SUCH OTHER ACTIVITIES AS ARE APPROPRIATE AND THEREBY CONTRIBUTING TO THE PRESERVATION OF LIVES.
