THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO RELIEVE SICKNESS AND TO PRESERVE AND PROTECT THE HEALTH OF PATIENTS SUFFERING FROM WOMB CANCER FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT, BY:-1. DEVELOPING A LOCAL AND NATIONAL SUPPORT INFRASTRUCTURE FOR WOMB CANCER SUFFERERS AT THE TIME OF DIAGNOSIS, DURING AND AFTER THEIR TREATMENT, AND IN THE EVENT OF ANY RECURRENCE;2. INCREASING AWARENESS OF WOMB CANCER, BOTH IN THE GENERAL POPULATION AND IN PRIMARY / SECONDARY HEALTHCARE;3. PROVIDING FACTUALLY CORRECT INFORMATION ABOUT WOMB CANCER AND ITS PROGNOSIS; AND4. FUNDING RESEARCH INTO THE CAUSES, PATHOPHYSIOLOGY, PROGNOSIS, TREATMENT AND PATIENT UNDERSTANDING OF WOMB CANCER.NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH [SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005] AND [SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008].
