FAMILY FOOD ACTION

We collect donated food and toiletries from communities in the North Bristol area through a network of neighbourhood volunteers. Donations are allocated to our community partners who work directly with families and children in poverty. We also accept financial donations which are used to source bulk fresh produce from local suppliers for our partners.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been very successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • The charity has received backing from a grant maker recently
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Although this charity works with volunteers it does not have a Volunteer Management policy
  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
