Focussed on less active people from Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, participants will have initial health and fitness assessments to understand their needs. Delivery will consist of two sessions a week for 46 weeks, including 12 coached Bollyfit sessions, 12 swimming sessions, indoor cricket and table tennis. Participants will also take part in 12 cycling sessions using bikes provided by Transport for Greater Manchester, plus bi-monthly walking and hiking. In addition, the project will provide health advice and information, on subjects including the menopause, diet and nutrition. Funding will pay for facility hire, additional staff costs, transport and coaching fees.
