(1) THE OBJECTS OF THE CIO ARE TO PROMOTE AWARENESS OF SUDDEN UNEXPLAINED DEATH IN CHILDHOOD AND TO RELIEVE THE NEEDS OF FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS AFFECTED BY THE SUDDEN UNEXPLAINED DEATH OF A CHILD, IN PARTICULAR BY SUPPORTING THE SUDC FOUNDATION, INCLUDING BY MEANS OF:(A) PROVIDING INFORMATION, ADVANCING AND FUNDING MEDICAL RESEARCH, AND ADVOCATING FOR ISSUES RELATING TO SUDDEN UNEXPLAINED DEATH IN CHILDHOOD; (B) PROVIDING SUPPORT TO FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS AFFECTED BY THE SUDDEN UNEXPLAINED DEATH OF A CHILD; (C) SUPPORTING THE CHARITABLE PURPOSES AND ACTIVITIES OF THE SUDC FOUNDATION;(D) ENGAGING IN OTHER RELATED CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AS DETERMINED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.(2) NOTHING IN THIS CONSTITUTION SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CIO FOR THE PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
