SALTFORD BRASS MILL PROJECT

Volunteers open the interpretation and education centre within the Mill, describing the ancient brass industry and its social impact in the region to the public. We undertake maintenance and husbandry of this Scheduled Ancient Monument in liaison with relevant authorities, conduct research, give guided tours and talks and publicise the Brass Mill as an asset to the local and regional community.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been very successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy
  • The Board is completely male

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • Spending has fallen significantly over the last 5 years relative to the previous period but has stabilised more recently
  • Income has been volatile and on several occasions in recent years less than spending
