CHANGE THROUGH EDUCATION IN AFRICA

We are an organisation operating in Uganda, East Africa. Our focus is on providing a quality education to children to enable them to break out the cycle of poverty they have found themselves in. We set up CEDA Home School; a small school with a bespoke curriculum, small class sizes and quality teaching resources. We also carry out family outreach work in the local communities.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years
  • There have been no material income shortfalls in recent years

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • The Board is predominantly female
  • The Board composition appears to be rather static

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
