This is the continuation of a project supporting men and women aged over18 who have experienced rape and sexual abuse. It will provide specialist counselling in a safe, confidential, non-judgemental environment to help people gain understanding and perspective. Clients will also be offered creative art therapies and eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing therapy (EMDR) to support them to reprocess traumatic memories until they no longer have a negative impact on day to day life.

It is important that specialist support is available immediately the victim makes the courageous decision to talk about what has happened. One-to-one counselling will help clients to gain an understanding of the trauma, embrace their future and make choices and decisions which have a positive impact on their lives.
