(1) THE RELIEF OF PERSONS WHO HAVE SERVED OR ARE SERVING UNDER THE WHITE ENSIGN AND THE WIVES, WIDOWS, HUSBANDS, CHILDREN AND OTHER DEPENDANTS OF SUCH PERSONS WHO ARE IN NECESSITOUS FINANCIAL CIRCUMSTANCES OR WHO ARE SUFFERING FROM ILL-HEALTH OR INJURY.(2) TO PROMOTE THE EFFICIENCY OF THE ROYAL NAVY BY: (A) MAINTAINING CONTACT BETWEEN PAST AND PRESENT MEMBERS OF THE ROYAL NAVY, FOSTERING A MUTUAL FRIENDSHIP BETWEEN THEM AND PROVIDING SOCIAL GATHERINGS FOR THEM. (B) FOSTERING 'ESPRIT-DE-CORP', COMRADESHIP AND THE WELFARE OF THE ROYAL NAVY AND PRESERVING IT'S TRADITIONS.(3) TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN THE HISTORY AND TRADITIONS OF THE ROYAL NAVY AND THE NAVAL HISTORY OF THE ISLE OF SHEPPY.
