(1) THE COMPANY SHALL APPLY THE CLEAR YEARLY INCOME AND AT ITS DISCRETION THE WHOLE OR PART OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY IN FURTHERANCE OF ANY CHARITABLE PURPOSES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION AND THE RELIEF OF NEED) AS THE WARDENS OF THE COMPANY (THE WARDENS) IN THEIR ABSOLUTE DISCRETION THINK FIT, PROVIDED THAT THE NAMES OF THE FORMER MERCERS' SCHOOL AND OF THE CHARITY ARE ASSOCIATED WITH ANY SUCH GRANT. (2) IN EXERCISING THEIR DISCRETION AS AFORESAID THE WARDENS SHALL HAVE REGARD TO ANY REPRESENTATIONS MADE TO THEM BY OR ON BEHALF OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE CLUB FOR AS LONG AS THE CLUB REMAINS IN EXISTENCE
