PETERBOROUGH AND DISTRICT DEAF CHILDREN'S SOCIETY

PDDCS is the Peterborough and District Deaf Children's Society and we do what we can to provide lots of activities for children who are deaf or have hearing loss in our area (which is anywhere near Peterborough). We do lots of cool stuff for kids from babies and toddlers all the way to young adults (who do it for themselves really) and provide for parents too...

The sessions will be supported by a sign language interpreter translating instructions from the swim teacher to the children. The sessions will take place every Friday involving up to 30 children in 6 x 30 minute sessions. This project looks to extend provision to children of deaf adults born out of a need for parents to be able to communicate with the teacher about the progress their children are making within lessons.
