Objectives

The organisation's purposes are to advance community development within Moodiesburn ('the Community') (as defined by the boundaries of the Moodiesburn Community Council area in North Lanarkshire) by: 4.1 Providing, or assisting in providing, recreational facilities., and/or organising recreational activities, which will be available to members of the Community and public at large with the object of improving conditions of life of the Community. 4.2 Advancing environmental protection or improvement including preservation, sustainable development and conservation of the natural environment, the maintenance, improvement or provision of environmental amenities for the Community. 4.3 The advancement of the health and wellbeing of the residents of the Community. 4.4 To help young people, particularly those resident in Moodiesburn, to develop their physical, mental and spiritual capacities such that they may grow to full maturity as individuals and as members of society. 4.5 To relieve those in need in the Community by promoting training and with particular reference to skills which will assist the participants in obtaining paid employment. 4.6 Relieving the needs of people who are elderly or who are otherwise in need of care within the community 4.7 The promotion of public safety and the prevention of crime. 4.8 Such other means as may from time to time be determined subject to the prior written consent of the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator.
