Objectives

(a) To promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Whiteinch and its environs without distinction of sex, sexuality, political, religious or other opinions by associating the local statutory authorities, voluntary organizations and inhabitants in a common effort to advance education and to provide, or assist in the provision of the facilities, in the interest of social welfare for recreation and other leisure-time occupation so that their conditions of life may be improved. (b) To advance the education of the public about the misuse of alcohol and/or drugs and also to advance the education of persons, by utilizing new technology. (c) To promote and/or provide training in order to assist the beneficiaries in obtaining paid employment. (d) To relieve the need and suffering and distress of those who are isolated by way of their age or infirmity/disability and to seek to involve them in the community as a way of ending their isolation. (e) To provide or assist in the provision of amenities for the benefit of the general public, providing always that these amenities are over and above those that it is the statutory obligation of the local authority to provide and that any private benefit incurred is greatly outweighed by the public benefit. (f) To further the health of the residents by promoting healthy living and operating initiatives to achieve this and (g) To carry out other schemes or activities that are exclusively charitable in law as defined at section 505 of the Income and Corporation Taxes Act 1988.
