SHREWSBURY SCHOOL FOUNDATION 

Shrewsbury School: founded by Royal Charter in 1552; one of the 'Great' public schools in the 1868 Clarendon Commission. The Shrewsbury School Foundation: established in 1965; thought to be the first charitable foundation associated with a British Independent School.
