NATIONAL HEALTH SERVICE RETIREMENT FELLOWSHIP

The grant would also ensure that the networks that have been created by the NHS Retirement Fellowship, continue to provide a valuable source of support for retired NHS staff. Which many find such a vital part of their everyday lives and helps them to avoid feeling isolated and lonely. This in turn will ease pressure on current NHS and social care services, which are already facing a constrained environment, so any relief to services would be greatly received. The grant would enable the Fellowship to continue to host its staff and volunteers - the Fellowship has 2.9 WTE staff in its headquarters, a small number of part time regional development Officers and volunteers. Without staff to support the Fellowship, the invaluable work that the Fellowship does would be lost and members would not receive the irreplaceable support, advice and guidance. NHS England would expect to see the Fellowship to continue to provide its services to its members over the next three years. The Fellowship will also be expected to provide an update to NHS England every six months on their programme of support to their members.
