THE RELIEF OF FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, EITHER GENERALLY OR INDIVIDUALLY OF PEOPLE WHO ARE RESIDENT WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT (AND IN EXCEPTIONAL CASES WITHIN THE IMMEDIATE SURROUNDING AREA AT THE ABSOLUTE DISCRETION OF THE CHARITY TRUSTEES) BY MAKING GRANTS OF MONEY FOR PROVIDING OR PAYING FOR ITEMS, SERVICES OR FACILITIES; AND3.1.2. THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION (INCLUDING SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL TRAINING):I. AT COMMUNITY OR VOLUNTARY AIDED OR VOLUNTARY CONTROLLED OR FOUNDATION SCHOOLS OR ACADEMIES OR POST 16 INSTITUTIONS WITHIN THE AREA OF BENEFIT (AS THE CHARITY TRUSTEES SEE FIT) BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES NOT REQUIRED TO BE PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL EDUCATION AUTHORITY;II.
