4.1 THE ONLY OBJECTS FOR WHICH THE CHARITY IS ESTABLISHED ARE, FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT AND PRIMARILY (ALTHOUGH NOT EXCLUSIVELY) WITHIN THE PRINCIPAL AREA OF BENEFIT:4.1.1 THE PREVENTION AND RELIEF OF POVERTY, AND THE RELIEF OF THOSE IN NEED DUE TO FINANCIAL HARDSHIP, ILL-HEALTH, DISABILITY OR OTHER DISADVANTAGE INCLUDING THROUGH THE PROVISION OF ADVICE AND SUPPORT FOR THE OPTIMISATION OF LIVING CONDITIONS, PARTICULARLY RELATING TO THE USE OF ENERGY AND RESOURCES AMONG THOSE IN NECESSITOUS CIRCUMSTANCES, INCLUDING THOSE IN FUEL-POOR HOUSEHOLDS, OR WHO HAVE SUFFERED LOSS THROUGH WEATHER-RELATED OR OTHER ENVIRONMENTAL EVENTS;4.1.2 THE MAINTENANCE, IMPROVEMENT OR PROVISION OF PUBLIC AMENITIES FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN AREAS WHICH ARE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DEPRIVED;4.1.3 THE PRESERVATION, CONSERVATION, PROTECTION AND IMPROVEMENT OF THE ENVIRONMENT INCLUDING THROUGH SUPPORTING SUSTAINABILITY AND THE PRUDENT AND EFFICIENT USE OF RESOURCES; AND4.1.4 THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION THROUGH THE PROVISION AND SUPPORT OF EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT AND TRAINING ABOUT ALL ASPECTS OF EFFICIENT AND SUSTAINABLE USE OF ENERGY AND RESOURCES.(THE OBJECTS).4.2 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ARTICLE 4.1, THE PRINCIPAL AREA OF BENEFIT MEANS THE GEOGRAPHIC AREAS COVERED FROM TIME TO TIME BY THE ELECTRICITY DISTRIBUTION LICENCES OF NORTHERN POWERGRID (YORKSHIRE) PLC (COMPANY NUMBER 04112320) AND NORTHERN POWERGRID (NORTHEAST) PLC (COMPANY NUMBER 02906593).
