Objectives

3 ObjectsThe objects of the CIO are:3.1 The provision and maintenance of social housing in the form of almshouse accommodation for elderly women who are over retirement, aged at least 55 and are also in need, with a preference for individuals who are or have a local connection in the Area of Benefit and are a member of a Christian church; 3.2 To relieve such charitable needs of the residents of the almshouses as the charity trustees determine.‘Area of Benefit’ shall mean the London Borough of Southwark, and Borough of Spelthorne.Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
