BARNSLEY COMMUNITY AND VOLUNTARY SERVICES

Barnsley CVS provides support to the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector in the Barnsley Metropolitan Borough. TO PROMOTE THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR FOR THE BENEFIT OF (BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY) THE COMMUNITY IN THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF BARNSLEY METROPOLITAN BOROUGH (HEREINAFTER CALLED THE AREA OF BENEFIT) BY:I. LIAISING BETWEEN CHARITIES, VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND OTHER GROUPS ON RELEVANT ISSUES;II. PROVIDING TRAINING, CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS ON SUBJECTS RELEVANT TO THE EFFICIENCY OF THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR;III. ASSISTING IN THE ADMINISTRATION OF FUNDING PROGRAMMES TO CHARITIES AND VOLUNTARY ORGANISATIONS, MONITORING FOR GRANTS, RECOMMENDING GRANTS, ASSISTING IN APPLICATIONS FOR GRANTS;IV.
