THE OBJECT OF THE CIO, TO BE CARRIED OUT FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN LONDON AND SUCH OTHER PARTS OF ENGLAND AS THE TRUSTEES SHALL DETERMINE, IS:TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE ENROLLED IN STATE FUNDED SECONDARY SCHOOLS, SIXTH FORM COLLEGES AND COLLEGES OF FURTHER EDUCATION WHICH OFFER PROVISION FOR YEARS 7 – 11 AND/OR 12 – 13 LOCATED IN AREAS OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC DISADVANTAGE THROUGH THE PROVISION OF SUPPLEMENTARY TUITION, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE DESIGNED TO STRETCH ABLE STUDENTS ACADEMICALLY, RAISE ACADEMIC ASPIRATIONS AND ASSIST IN THEM IN SECURING ACCESS TO HIGHER EDUCATION.
