    3.1 The objects of the CIO are:3.1.1 the advancement in life of children and young people; 3.1.2 the provision or assistance in the provision of facilities and activities in the interests of social welfare for recreation or other leisure time activity for children and young people;3.1.3 to advance the Christian religion by the provision of grants or other assistance to further the work of :i. the 6th Waltham Forest Company, the Boys' Brigade ii. the 7th Leytonstone Girls' Brigade Company iii. other companies of the Boys' Brigade and Girls' Brigade in England & Wales with a preference for those in the London Boroughs of Waltham Forest and Redbridge iv. the UK National Boys' Brigade3.2 Nothing in this constitution shall authorise an application of the property of the CIO for the purposes which are not charitable in accordance with section 7 of the Charities and Trustee Investment (Scotland) Act 2005 and section 2 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
