SOUTH PENNINE ARCHAEOLOGY GROUP 

To promote the understanding of our heritage through archaeological digs, research, field walks, visits and other methods. To encourage the community to benefit from the physical and mental health that such activities carry. Based in Rossendale we welcome new members, particularly those who can contribute to our knowledge.

(C) STIMULATING INTEREST FROM THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND WIDER COMMUNITIES IN THE HISTORY AND HERITAGE OF THE SOUTH PENNINES AND ADJACENT AREAS BY ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATION, RESEARCH, FIELD WALKING, TALKS AND OTHER METHODS.
