THE ADVANCEMENT OF RELIGION BY FINANCING PROJECTS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH CHURCH OF ENGLAND PARISHES AND SIMILAR BODIES IN THE DIOCESE OF DERBY AND GEOGRAPHICALLY NEIGHBOURING DIOCESES, FOR THE FURTHERANCE OF THE CHRISTIAN RELIGION, AS THIS IS SET FORTH IN THE DOCTRINE OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND, AND THIS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT. THE DOCTRINE OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND IS FOR THESE PURPOSES TO BE CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND (WORSHIP AND DOCTRINE) MEASURE 1974 AS ORIGINALLY ENACTED. THIS STATES THAT THE DOCTRINE OF THE CHURCH OF ENGLAND IS GROUNDED IN THE HOLY SCRIPTURES, AND IN SUCH TEACHINGS OF THE ANCIENT FATHERS AND COUNCILS OF THE CHURCH AS ARE AGREEABLE TO THE SAID SCRIPTURES.
