    THE OBJECTS OF THE CHARITY (THE OBJECTS) ARE:(A) TO PROMOTE THE ARTS FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN PARTICULAR BY THE FINANCING OF CONCERTS OF THE MUSIC OF CORNELIUS CARDEW, HIS PUPILS AND OTHER COMPOSERS; AND(B) THE ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT IN NEW MUSIC AND IN PARTICULAR IN BRITISH NEW MUSIC THAT CORNELIUS CARDEW WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN OPENING UP TO THE WORLD BOTH BY UNDERTAKING ACTIVITIES ANCILLARY TO THE ABOVE OBJECTIVES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PUBLISHING, PUBLICISING OR PROMOTING THE DISSEMINATION AND PUBLICATION OF WORKS OF SCHOLARSHIP IN ANY FORM OR MEDIUM, OR BY WAY OF SEMINAR, LECTURE, CONFERENCE OR OTHERWISE, RELATIVE TO THE GREATER UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF NEW MUSIC GENERALLY, AND PARTICULARLY BRITISH NEW MUSIC WHICH CHAMPIONS THE ENLIGHTENMENT AND PROGRESS OF WHICH CORNELIUS CARDEW WAS A PATHFINDER; AND BY ENCOURAGING COMPOSERS, PARTICULARLY YOUNG COMPOSERS, TO WRITE SUCH NEW MUSIC FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT.NOTHING IN THIS DEED SHALL AUTHORISE AN APPLICATION OF THE PROPERTY OF THE CHARITY FOR PURPOSES WHICH ARE NOT CHARITABLE IN ACCORDANCE WITH SECTION 7 OF THE CHARITIES AND TRUSTEE INVESTMENT (SCOTLAND) ACT 2005 AND/OR SECTION 2 OF THE CHARITIES ACT (NORTHERN IRELAND) 2008.
