1. TO PROVIDE FACILITIES, IN PARTICULAR DIGITAL ARCHIVES, TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC, INCLUDING ADVANCING ITS KNOWLEDGE OF THE ORIGINS, GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF MUSIC AND RELATED ARTISTIC, CULTURAL AND ENDEAVOURS IN THE GREATER MANCHESTER AREA AND PROMOTING AN UNDERSTANDING OF THE CONTRIBUTION THAT THIS HAS MADE TO THE EDUCATION AND WELL-BEING OF THE GENERAL PUBLIC. 2.
