BIDEFORD FILM SOCIETY

Our aim is to provide a big screen cinema experience for the people of Bideford and the surrounding area. We show a variety of films, including recent releases, films with local interest such as the Boat Stories from North Devon Moving Image and others. For example we recently showed a streamed live performances from Cliff Richard. We also work with other local charities..

THE OBJECTS OF THE BIDEFORD FILM SOCIETY ARE TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE KNOWLEDGE, UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION OF THE ARTS, PARTICULARLY THE ART OF FILM AND ALLIED VISUAL TECHNIQUES AND TO PROMOTE ART FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC BY THE ESTABLISHMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF A FILM SOCIETY.IN FURTHERANCE OF THE FOREGOING OBJECTS, THE SOCIETY SHALL HAVE THE POWER TO PROMOTE THE STUDY AND APPRECIATION OF FILM BY MEANS OF LECTURES, DISCUSSIONS AND EXHIBITIONS.
