OVERCOMING MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS 

Overcoming Multiple Sclerosis promotes a program of diet and lifestyle management that has been shown to improve the health and lives of people with MS. Prof. George Jelinek, who was diagnosed with MS in 1999, developed the rigorously researched OMS Recovery Program more than 15 years ago.Overcoming MS (OMS) was established in the UK in 2012 with the goal of expanding awareness of the program.

Objectives

4.1 The only objects for which the Charity is established are to relieve people with multiple sclerosis and to promote public health in relation to multiple sclerosis in particular but not exclusively by:4.1.1 Providing information and advice for people with multiple sclerosis to take control of their health;4.1.2 Fostering a community of support for people with multiple sclerosis and their families;4.1.3 Promoting a holistic approach to multiple sclerosis taking account of people's psychological, physical and social needs and utilising the best available treatments;4.1.4 Promoting and undertaking research into self-help techniques for the management of multiple sclerosis insofar as these are not incompatible with advice received from people's doctor or consultant physician; 4.1.5 Supporting and promoting charities funding multiple sclerosis research; and4.1.6 Advocating with and on behalf of people with multiple sclerosis for healthcare services that enable those individuals to control and improve their health.
