SHREWSBURY STREET PASTORS

Our mission is to train volunteers drawn from Christian churches to provide a listening ear and practical help to the socially marginalised and the needy. We typically patrol the streets of Shrewsbury on Friday and Saturday nights and work in partnership with the police, local councils and a range of voluntary and statutory organisations in order to reach and help all those in need.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been very successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • The charity has received Government grants
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • On several occasions in recent years income has been less than spending
