LAPWORTH SCARECROW FESTIVAL

We hold a fundraising weekend every September around a scarecrow festival, raise sponsorship beforehand and during the weekend provide activities, stalls, a bbq and bar all in order to raise money to support the charity's objects
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • The charity has received backing from a grant maker and there are significant future grants due to be received

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • There have been multiple defaults for filing returns
  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy
  • There are only 2 trustees
  • The Board is completely female
  • The Board composition appears to be very static and has little diversity in terms of age

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • Latest accounts are overdue for filing and returns have been filed late on 3 occasions over the last 5 years
