    Objectives

    a. advance education for the public benefit and promote research including without limitation in political, social and economic policy, with a focus on the ways in which the ideas, values, character, philosophy, culture, institutional characteristics, policies, laws, regulation, taxation and practices present in any given society or economy, strengthen or weaken the ability of people to move from poverty to prosperity, and to publish the useful results of such research;b. relieve poverty, deprivation, and hardship including without limitation, by directly or indirectly supporting or relieving those who are in need and trapped in poverty, deprivation or hardship by reason of war, famine, displacement, migration or refugee status, human trafficking, unemployment, homelessness, youth, age, ill-health, lack of education, disability, financial hardship, family breakdown or other disadvantage;c. promote national and international conflict resolution and reconciliation for the public benefit with a view to relieving suffering, poverty and distress and building and maintaining social cohesion and trust within and between communities and nations provided that all activities shall be undertaken with impartiality and with a commitment to creating and increasing peace. In these objects: ?prosperity? is defined as being not just about what we have but also about who we become, so that everyone has the opportunity to thrive by fulfilling their unique potential and playing their part in contributing to their families, communities and nations. Prosperity is underpinned by an inclusive society, is driven by an open economy and is built by empowered people.
