THE SHEPPARD TRUST

The Sheppard Trust is an almshouse charity. We provide housing for older women in need of low cost, comfortable and secure homes. Priority is given to those in greatest need. Residents live independently with the security of knowing their homes will remain affordable and well-maintained, and that support is on hand when needed: in emergencies or to help maintain independent living.

Objectives

3. The objects of the Charity are: 3.1 The provision of affordable housing accommodation for women who: 3.1.1 are in need, hardship and distress; and 3.1.2 are aged 55 or over; and 3.1.3 agree to abide by the following values which are based on the Christian faith: a) kindness, consideration and compassion to others; b) community spirit and co-operation; and c) respect for everyone’s rights, differences, dignity and choices. 3.1 Such charitable purposes for the benefit of the residents as the trustees decide.
