The funding will be used to digitally deliver music for life to young adults with severe learning and physical disabilities living in South Lakes Eden Carlisle and Allerdale.Sunbeams are a non for profit Charity registered organisation who aim to relieve sickness and assist in the remedial treatment of children and adults suffering from physical emotional psychological and other mental health problems by the provision of community music therapy.

The funding will be used to make improvements to their ‘Sunbeams Sensory Garden’ and install a canopy benches outdoor musical instruments and sculpture for disadvantaged children/young people with a wide range of learning and physical disabilities. This will provide outdoor fun creative stimulating music workshops for participants to help aid confidence skills and personal development reduce isolation and improve wellbeing which has been impacted by the pandemic.

The key aim is to provide the beneficiaries with the opportunities and ability to express themselves, improve their skills, create a peer support network to reduce isolation and improve their physical and mental health and wellbeing.
