Charitable donations are used to further support and expand the level of innovative medical research that would not otherwise be funded by Government grants and other sources.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There have been no material income shortfalls in recent years

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • The Board is predominantly male
  • The Board composition appears to be rather static and has little diversity in terms of age

Financial issues to consider:

  • This charity has substantial assets and unrestricted reserves of £2,467,516 available, equivalent to 44 months of spending and so may not be able to utilise additional funding
  • Income has been volatile recently but spending has been maintained
  • Fundraising costs are extremely high relative to funds raised
