This project will fund a Peer Support Development Worker to set up and run Walk and Talk weekly two hour sessions in local parks in Manchester. This is an expansion of a pilot project to sustain and expand the offer for adults in Manchester to come together weekly as a group. In addition, they will introduce monthly one-off Wellbeing Walks in parks around the city for people to experience the benefits of walking. Funding will support Development Worker costs and travel costs for staff and volunteers.

A new programme of activities will include counselling, mentoring, group workshops and training. Many of the sessions will be run by the young people themselves so they can support one another peer to peer.
