OXTED OPERATIC SOCIETY

The normal, introduction, training and performance of various musical and some dramatic content, has been continued in 2018 with a further production by our youth section. There will be no Sole Youth Production in 2018 due to other commitments but a production for 2019 is already envisaged. The Youth section was heavily involved in our Autumn Production.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been very successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • There have been no material income shortfalls in recent years

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Although this charity works with volunteers it does not have a Volunteer Management policy
  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy
  • There is only 1 trustee
  • The Board composition appears to be rather static

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • Accounts have been filed late on 4 occasions over the last 5 years and the current period appears to have been extended
