THE DUNFIELD CHARITY

We provide group accommodation to Community of Christ for reunions, camps and retreats at which the Christian religion and the worth of all persons are promoted. When not used by the Church the accommodation is marketed to faith-based, educational and community groups by our subsidiary, Dunfield House Ltd. These groups run their own programmes whilst at Dunfield House.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • There has been strong growth in spending over the last 5 years
  • A significant proportion of recent income was derived from major grant makers including the Government

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Although this charity works with volunteers it does not have a Volunteer Management policy
  • The Board is completely male

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • On several occasions in recent years income has been less than spending
