THE HAMDEN TRUST 

The principal activity of the Company is the development and administration of Hampstead Town Hall Centre to be used for charitable activities. A central purpose of the Trust is to conserve and enhance the historic building and encourage educational work to celebrate our heritage.

Objectives

The Charity’s objects are: 3.1 to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of London by associating the local authorities, voluntary organisations and inhabitants in a common effort to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure title occupations with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants;3.2 to promote any charitable purposes for the benefit of the said inhabitants and in particular the advancement of education (with particular but not exclusive reference to the arts), the furtherance of health and the relief of poverty, distress and sickness and of those who may be aged or disabled;3.3 to secure the preservation, protection, development and improvement of buildings or features of historic or public interest in London to enable them to be enjoyed by the public;3.4 to promote the efficiency of bodies having charitable aims and objectives by the provision of financial and legal advice relating to those aspects of the law which affect them;3.5 to establish, or secure the establishment of, community centres and to maintain and manage the same in further of the above objects.
