BUXTON FESTIVAL FRINGE

We organise an open arts festival which includes all genres and does not select nor censor. We exist to provide an opportunity for anybody to share their art with an appreciative audience in an open, accessible and affordable environment. We use our sponsorships to reduce as far as possible the cost of entry to our festival, currently down to 40 pounds at its cheapest rate
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • This charity has been very successful in attracting volunteers relative to its size
  • The charity has received Government grants
  • There have been no material income shortfalls in recent years
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender and dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Although this charity works with volunteers it does not have a Volunteer Management policy
  • This charity does not have a Conflict of Interests policy

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
  • Spending has fallen significantly over the last 5 years relative to the previous period
  • Income has been volatile recently
