    Objectives

    4. Purposes The organisation's purposes are: 4.1 to relieve and improve the conditions of those suffering as a result of man-made or natural disasters in any theatre deemed appropriate to its resources. This includes: 4.1.1 providing material aid to relieve the needs of refugees, asylum-seekers or internally displaced persons by reason of hostilities, persecution, oppression, discrimination, natural disasters, or other like causes and to provide assistance to the families and dependents of those who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress. 4.1.2 assisting with the provision of education, vocational training, health, social and other services to those persons and their families and dependents, and facilitating their achievement of economic independence by means of small loans and grants 4.1.3 the encouragement and advocacy of non-discrimination, active cultural participation, the advancement of human rights and the promotion of racial and sexual equality and diversity.
