This project will improve the health and welfare of carers in Newham through a range of services including health workshops, providing practical skills such as safeguarding, first aid, back pain, safe lifting, reducing stress and physical activities. The project also supports carers to access annual health and wellbeing assessments with a GP. The service will also provide a health buddy system where volunteer carers support newly identified carers and outreach work to identify 'hidden' carers.
