The programme, specifically for children from low-income families, aims to inspire their love of reading for pleasure, creating stories and illustrating and opening the door for potential careers in the children?s book industry. The project includes an after-school club for girls at the Baytree Centre and holiday clubs at Station Hall Herne Hill. Pupils will have the opportunity to take part in creative writing, illustration and book-making workshops led by guest authors, illustrators and book industry figureheads.
