STREET TREES FOR LIVING

STfL plants over 200 street trees across the London Borough of Lewisham annually. We publicise and raise funds to support Lewisham Council's street tree planting scheme and liaise with the Council on behalf of residents. We work closely with schools and community groups to assist in sourcing local sponsorship and creating green corridors.
Analysis by Giving is Great

Positives:

  • The charity has received backing from a grant maker recently
  • There has been strong growth in spending since inception
  • The Board appears to be well diversified in terms of gender and dynamic in terms of composition

Regulatory & Governance issues to consider:

  • Although this charity works with volunteers it does not have a Volunteer Management policy

Financial issues to consider:

  • A PartB annual return has not been required and so detailed financial information is not available from the online data
