During the COVID-19 outbreak, they have only been able to offer very few people any leisure trips to relieve their social isolation, and only essential medical trips so far this year. They are planning to launch the Wheelyboat and begin to offer minibus trips sometime in July or August this year, which will require them to service the Wheelyboat, purchase a canal licence and prepare the minibus seat storage trailer.These services will be a very desirable break from the long months of restricted socialisation with small groups able to visit the countryside canal environments or just visit friends and relatives at suitable venues.

The aim of the project is to improve the social experience and quality of life for local people with mobility issues. The grant will be used as a contribution towards the purchase of a suitable minibus vehicle to use for these trips.
