Objectives

A) TO DEVELOP THE CAPACITY AND SKILLS OF THE MEMBERS OF THE SOCIALLY AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED COMMUNITY OF THE OVENDEN WARD OF CALDERDALE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH COUNCIL IN WEST YORKSHIRE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA IN SUCH A WAY THAT THEY ARE BETTER ABLE TO IDENTIFY, AND HELP MEET, THEIR NEEDS AND TO PARTICIPATE MORE FULLY IN SOCIETY.B) TO ADVANCE IN LIFE AND RELIEVE NEEDS OF FAMILIES AND COMMUNITY THROUGH:(I) THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES AND SUPPORT IN THE INTEREST OF SOCIAL WELFARE, DESIGNED TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITIONS OF LIFE; (II) PROVIDING SUPPORT AND ACTIVITIES THAT DEVELOP SKILLS, CAPACITIES AND CAPABILITIES TO ENABLE EFFECTIVE PARTICIPATION IN SOCIETY.
