The volunteer will gain confidence in her own ability to help others, gain experience which will help her to choose the type of employment she would be happy to do. The volunteer will gain confidence to seek further training and courses which will help her to gain employment The parent will be supported to use local services such as children's centres which will enable her to make new friends, decrease her isolation and increase her and the children's social networks The volunteer will learn about services and organisations in the community on the preparation course that she may be interested in joining to increase her social networks. The parent will be encouraged to use her local pre-school or nursery so that the children can meet and play with their peers. The volunteers will be invited to meet with all of our volunteers and trustees at social events, some make friendships during the preparation course.
